Background

Mt3 (One Vision) is a newly formed company dedicated to assisting young performers and promoting theatre based events.

Our Vision: to allow students to experience the rehearsal and on-stage techniques, skills, effort and team work needed to present and perform a modern musical on stage.

Unlike many other Theatrical Companies for young performers, Mt3 (One Vision) Ltd. is assisted in running its events by its students! The idea is to allow a realistic view of the setting up and creating of events as well as performance skills. The views of all students are taken into account, encouraging a positive and creative atmosphere.

We also intend to regularly arrange specialist workshops that will allow students to experience techniques in dance, musical theatre and drama taught by professionals at the top end of the entertainment/arts world. This will give the students extra experience as well as an understanding of the styles, methods and expectation of those who are creating and taking part in contemporary commercial dance and theatre work. Often performers outwith London do not get the chance to be taught by such professionals.

Pure Star Productions, owned by Kylie Minogue's former dance captain and choreographer Tim Noble, was brought to Scotland for the first time to work with Mt3 (One Vision) and students from around Scotland.  This was an amazing event with Tim, Sarah-Jane (choreographer and dancer with the likes of Madonna and Kylie) and Leon (dancer and choreographer for the international tours of Saturday Night Fever).  These are high class dancers/choreographers at the top of their profession and the skills, techniques and advice given were invaluable.  The energy and enthusiasm given and generated made the two day weekend session one of the most exciting and worthwhile events in dance training to ever reach this part of the U.K.  Friendships were built up between dance schools, between students and with the amazing Pure Star leaders.  Parents who viewed the workshop finale presentation enthused about the improvements in technique shown by the students and the amount of work that had been carried out.

Tim Noble will be back in July 2007 working on preparing our dances for WE WILL ROCK YOU. We can't wait!!!

September 2006

Mt3 (One Vision) students completed a three week set of workshops (at Centrestage Music Theatre, Kilmarnock) based on the official educational materials from the the rock musical We Will Rock You - based on the music of the legendary band Queen.   These workships were entitiled 'One Vision' and were based on educational materials supplied by www.queenonline.com.  They looked at issues raised within the show - globalisation, commercialism and the lack of individual expression. Students created characters, developed themes, sang, danced, created scenes and had a great time doing it.

The final week saw the students performing extracts from the show to parents and friends as well as creating their own scenes and even their own harmonies for the songs. The response to the workshops has been outstanding with parents and friends enthusing about the quality of the students' performances.

Invited guests from the world of television and theatre also heaped praise upon the students. Judy Brunton (Director of the prestigious festival4stars - the UK's largest talent competition) took time to comment before flying to London to oversee the recording of this year's winners album:

' As an invited guest I have seen hundreds of amateur shows over the years but none with as much talent as your show tonight.

The enthusiasm of everyone shone through... and the acting was super.  We thoroughly enjoyed it from start to finish.'

She also commented on the hard work and dedication put in by all involved and noted:

'It will all pay off when your talented youngsters make it in the industry.'

The workshops took place at the end of the third week.  Friends and family were invited to see the work completed during the workshops at the wonderful Centrestage Music Theatre, Kilmarnock on Saturday 26th and Sunday 27th August 2006.
